- Youth & Community Group Grants

Somerset Youth and Community Group Grants aim to enable groups within Somerset to create or sustain universal, open-access youth clubs or drop-in provision for young people aged 11-19 years and up to 25 years for young people with special needs.  This may include grants to train young people and/or adults as volunteers to run youth clubs and drop-ins.

Please Note - Changes to grant process

We are changing the timescales for these grants with assessment rounds reducing from two per year to one. Following the funding round in August 2017 (deadline for applications: Friday 28th July 2017) future rounds will take place in March of each year from 2018 (with a grant period running from 1 April to 31st March).  Clubs applying for a grant in August 2017 should apply for 19 months funding to take them up to the April 2019 funding round.

If you would like to apply for this funding and your club does not already have the Safe & Welcoming Benchmark, please contact the Kirstie Brown before submitting your application

If have any questions, please contact Kirstie Brown on 01823 349853 / 07899 700170 / kbrown@somerset.gov.uk.

Applications for assessment in August 2017 need to reach the Youth & Community Office by Friday 28th July2017
